JULY
Inside Out-TC (Officer Training Conference)
Without a doubt, my first OTC was unforgettable. Despite the intimidating length of the conference, time passed quickly since we were kept busy. In addition to spending time with my fellow board members, I was able to meet many new key clubbers. I was considering how I could help my club grow when I entered OTC. Naturally, listening in on breakout rooms was really helpful, but I also think the new connections I made could help my home club develop as well. OTC made me understand that relationships are crucial to our club’s development and serve as a catalyst for member’s passion towards Key Club. Along with the new information I learned on Key Club during OTC, meeting new people was an incredible experience. Thanks to OTC, I believe I can enter the new term with a sound mind and a sound Key Club soul, which is a great place to start for even greater things to come!

JULY Inside Out-TC
JULY D15 Summer Olympics DCM
D15’s July Summer Olympics DCM
On Saturday, July 19th, we had our annual Summer Olympics! This was held with all of the division 15’s so we were able to see key clubbers from all over. It was held at Ayala Park from 2:00-5:30 PM but we were able to stay cool in the sun because D15N was selling snow cones! We all gathered into our teams, each one being led by the division EA’s, and started off with the DCM portion. During this time we were able to recount all of our old business for the clubs along with what plans we have coming up! Afterwards we started our games! For the first round, each team got scored based on how well they did their team chant. After we all got hype and spirited, we went into the physical games. We began with tug of war and captured the flag and ended off with a three-legged race. It was so fun being able to compete with the different divisions and watching everyone work with their teams to win! Being able to play games and race with the other teams was a great way to actually bring us all together and we can’t wait for next summer's Olympics!

AUGUST
Region 13 Beach Cleanup
On August 2nd, Region 13 held their annual beach cleanup at Santa Monica Beach. Key Clubbers from all over the region took buses to get to the event, where they would spend six hours participating in the cleanup, playing games, buying food and merchandise, and bonding with their fellow members. While our key clubbers primarily made sure to get rid of any trash on the beach, they also had a lot of fun. During the day, we played games such as tug of war, where different divisions competed. Not only that, but many members also indulged in purchasing merch and esquites, which raised money for PTP! Overall, the day was filled with tons of service, community, and fun.

AUGUST Minion Market DCM
AUGUST Region 13 Beach Clean-Up
Minion DCM
On Saturday, August 23rd, Division 15 North held our August Minion Market DCM at Claremont’s Memorial Park! This event occurs every year, where each home club sells one item, ranging from Alta Loma’s fried rice to Upland offering face paint! Additionally, both members and officers were able to pay to see dares for our Division Leadership Team and Committees, with all funds going towards our main organizations, the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) and the YES! (Youth Education Support) Initiative, both going towards the ongoing struggles of children all around our nation. This event was all around fun, whilst members interacted amongst the different booths, meeting newly elected officers and enjoying different meals and activities! During this DCM, our spirit coordinators had also taught new members the “How do You Feel” Chant directly after our DCM portion, including monthly awards, such as our Club of the Month of August to Los Osos! Overall, this event was a success, with $300 raised for PTP and YES, and new friendships made!

SEPTEMBER
Water Wars DCM
OWater Wars at Red Hill Park on September 20th was one of the most exciting and high-energy events of the year. We began the day by checking in and attending a Division Council Meeting, where clubs shared updates from the past month and recognized members who went above and beyond, setting a positive and motivating tone for the rest of the event. After the DCM, we jumped into spirit with the classic “How Do You Feel” chant and learned the How Do We Feel remix, Chant One, and Chant Two. We practiced together as a large group before splitting into breakout rooms with our spirit coordinators to perfect the moves, then regrouped as the park filled with loud, synchronized chants and cheers. Next, a spirit battle determined who would get food first, followed by lunch with pizza, chips, and water. Afterwards, another spirit battle took place to decide who would get the water balloons first. We ended the day with Water Wars, running across the park, throwing water balloons, laughing, and getting completely soaked. After cleaning up, we headed home tired, drenched, and smiling.

SEPTEMBER Region 13 Night Market
SEPETMBER Water Wars DCM
Region Night Market
Region Night Market is an event hosted by region 13 lionfish! At the event there were so many booths you could choose from, consisting of food, drinks, keychains, and so much more. This event really brought a lot of people together from different divisions and I definitely enjoyed every bit of it. Division 15 North winning the spirit battle truly showed how spirited we are and willing to work as a team to bring home that region spirit battle win! Being there and being able to bond with people within my division and outside of it too really made the event 10x more fun:) I was running around like crazy but every second spent I had a great time. I loved the popcorn chicken that our division sold as well, and thank you to Karlie for the hard work that she put into making those matchas! Region Night Market is an event you definitely cannot miss.
